There are two royal sisters in this story with one having magical powers to make snow and ice. She uses them to make enchanting play areas for her little sister including a snowman named Olaf. One night, she accidentally hits her sister with her powers causing her to almost die. The parents must take drastic measures to save the little girl. From that point on, Elsa, the oldest sister, must try to control her powers. She does this by locking herself away from the world and the little sister, Anna. The gates to the castle are locked as well until Elsa's coronation.
On Elsa's coronation day, she mistakenly causes her magic to come out in public so she flees into the mountains. Her flight causes her kingdom to be thrust into perpetual winter. Anna then chases after her with many adventures ensuing.
The movie will become a Disney classic in my opinion. The story line is well written. The sweetness of the sister's obvious love for each other is breathtaking in this day and age. There is no obvious villain to hate although there are a few characters who don't have great morals. In the end, they get what they deserve due to their choices which is refreshing to see. The snowman, Olaf, is hilarious. You will laugh out loud at several occasions. There are a couple of scenes with strange African music that doesn't fit the scene but other than that the soundtrack is amazing as well.
If you didn't have plans to see this movie then change them. This is a must see movie that is good for all ages. A family friendly movie with good morals, good manners and no half dressed people. The only drawback is that you will want to see it again and again.
Of course the merchandise is all over Disneyland and Walt Disney World. If you see anything you'd like to give a little princess in your life, we would love to help you!
